1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454. This is a true big block car with the original 454 engine and contains the correct "W" in the vin code. Original build sheets contain the LS5 code for the 454 engine. Being a Canadian built car, GM of Canada offers a packet of information on those cars. That packet contains all the technical data for an individual vehicle. I have that packet for this car which supports the information found on the build sheets and order form. The car was built in Canada and originally sold in Canada. I have the following original paperwork: 1. Two build slips 2. Dealer order form 3. GMAC loan form 4. Valvoline guarantee 5. Bill of sale With the exception of the exhaust, including headers, Holley carburetor and shifter, all other parts appear to be factory. I have replaced the original am/fm radio with a restored original 8 track/am/fm radio. The original single front speaker was replaced with 2 front and 2 rear original speakers. The original dash pad was replaced to accommodate the dual speakers with an original dash pad. I have all the original parts to return the car to the original am/fm setup. I bought the car without the smog setup. I purchased a smog setup as well as the correct manifolds to return the car to the original setup. Both rear quarters have been replaced. Unfortunately a small seam has developed where each of these quarters were attached. The entire car has been repainted. The interior has been redone and there are no rips or tears in the seats. Headliner in great condition. As is usual in these cars, the clock does not work. The fuel gauge doesn't work and I installed a new fuel sender 3 years ago and believe it to be a grounding issue. Engine runs strong and clutch is tight connected to a M22 Rockcrusher 4 speed transmission.
